# Image manifest

All images are local copies (no hotlinking), downloaded 2026-11-03 from Wikimedia Commons via `Special:FilePath?width=960` and used unmodified except for that server-side resize to 960 px wide. Licenses and author names were read from the Commons API (extmetadata LicenseShortName / Artist) by the research card and re-queried during this build on 2026-11-03; results matched. Each image was viewed before use: all show destruction/aftermath only, with no bodies or visible injuries. CC BY-SA requires credit, a license link and the same license on adaptations; CC BY requires credit and a license link. UNRWA logo watermarks are left in place.

Images considered but not used (viewed or not): the remaining items in research/gaza-images.md (Remal school, Zaitoun school, Al-Mawasi tents, mural, Indonesian Hospital, Al Wahda Street, Walking among destroyed buildings). Al-Mawasi (viewed, non-graphic) and Remal school (downloaded, not viewed) were removed to keep the page focused.

## What the "linked to" connection means

The connector line ties each photo to a company or customer node that the campaign report *alleges* supplied the Israeli military (see the alleged edge in the diagram). It is thematic. None of these photos identifies a weapon, a manufacturer or a specific strike; captions say so. Captions use the Commons titles (e.g. "destroyed by an airstrike" for the Jabalia school); the weapon is not identified. After review, the school and hospital photos link to the Israel MoD (customer) node rather than to a named maker.
